Dickinson Dees
The merger of the long established law firm, Dickinson Dees with law firm Philip Ashworth & Co of York was a major development for the city in the latter part of 2006. Dickinson Dees is one of the Times top 100 best companies to work for, and has been depicted as one of the region's best connected professional services organisations, with a national reputation for the quality of work it undertakes. The deal could mean at least 50 more jobs being created in the professional and financial services sector over the next three years. Dickinson Dees senior partner stated that York was chosen as a location to grow their client base in the wider Yorkshire market.
