Park & Ride
York is a recognised leader in sustainable transport. The combination of commuters, shoppers and visitors allows the Park & Ride service to operate with a licence fee paid to the council unlike many other towns and cities which run on a subsidised basis. York has 5 Park & Ride sites located on the outskirts of the city with plans for an additional 3. The facility is an easy option for people working or visiting York to access the city centre.
York is regarded as one of the country’s premier cycling cities. It has an extensive network of off-road cycle paths and on road cycle lanes.
