Local Enterprise Partnerships
In June 2010 the Government encouraged businesses and councils to come together to form local enterprise partnerships whose geography properly reflected the natural economic areas of England. The Government wanted to see partnerships which understood their economy and are directly accountable to local people and local businesses.
York is a member of two Local Economic Partnership's (LEP);
